Functie As Postdoctoral Researcher, you will perform research in the area of Biofabrication and Materials-Driven Regeneration and you will become part of an international and multi-disciplinary team consisting of Postdocs, PhD candidates and Technicians, that focuses on the application and translation of biofabrication approaches.

Your role will be to lead and facilitate the high-level scientific research on the application of 3D bioprinting and (melt)electrospinning technology in musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and/or nephrological applications. You will integrate knowledge of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with (smart)biomaterials and the possibilities of 3D (bio)fabrication.
Profiel We are looking for driven highly excellent candidates, whose track records may range from more junior to senior Postdoctoral levels, with:

  • a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Biomaterials, Biofabrication or a related area. You have experience in both Biomedical Sciences and Engineering, and thrive in a multi-disciplinary research environment;
  • affinity and experience with 3D printing and (melt) electrospinning are desirable;
  • excellent analytical skills, you are a team player with good communications skills and have experience with student supervision.

    We offer a temporary position (1.0 FTE) for one year, with the possibility for an extension with an additional 2 years. The gross salary – depending on previous qualifications and experience – ranges between €2,709 and €4,274 (scale 10 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities) gross per month for a full-time employment. Salaries are supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8 % and a year-end bonus of 8.3 % per year.
